• Benefit for Fire Fighter Ernest Strong

  Ernest Strong is the fire fighter that was ambushed and shot in February when he arrived home to find three men holding his developmentally-challenged daughter hostage and burglarizing his home. As a member of the St. Louis Fire Dept., Ernest accepts the fact that he will gladly put his life on the line everyday upon putting on his uniform and will go above and beyond to help anyone in need. Now we are asking the community to help F.I.R.E. (Firefighters Institute for Racial Equality) assist him in his time of need as he begins his long journey to recovery.
   
  We are in the early planning stages of a goal to raise $40,000.00 dollars to offset the cost of his medical bills that his insurance did not cover. We also intend to offset the lost wages of his spouse in her efforts to assist him at home during his rehab and recovery she is now on unpaid Family Medical Leave.
